Our Story

Founded in 2022, Safe House Psychology began with a simple mission: to provide accessible, high-quality psychological support for children, adolescents, and adults in our community.

Recognising gaps in both client access and clinician support, we set out not only to reduce long waitlists and improve availability, but also to create a private practice where clinicians could grow, collaborate, and thrive, a place that felt inclusive, expert, and energising rather than isolating.

Starting with just one clinician, our practice continues to grow with the goal of offering more programs, group therapy, and tailored services, ensuring the community always has timely, meaningful support when needed most.

Our Mission

At Safe House Psychology, our mission is to empower children, adolescents, and adults to build confidence, resilience, and practical skills that support their wellbeing and personal growth.

We are committed to bridging gaps in access to high-quality psychological care, ensuring timely, effective support for everyone in our community. We foster a practice culture where clinicians can grow, collaborate, and thrive, while offering evidence-based therapy, innovative programs, group sessions, and tailored interventions.

We also work to bring our community together, encouraging connection and understanding so everyone feels confident to access support when needed, building a culture where mental health care is approachable, inclusive, and part of everyday life.

Consultants

At Safe House Psychology, our consultants are experienced, independent psychologists who work with us on a contract basis. They are a valued part of our team, helping us expand our services while staying aligned with our mission to provide accessible, high-quality psychological care. Their expertise and dedication allow us to better support our clients and community, while maintaining the same standards of compassion, professionalism, and evidence-based practice that define our clinic.
